The Longest Night: The Longest Stream of Consciousness About It

Yay, so after a little poking around, I've watched The Longest Night through the magic of technology. Since these are my thoughts on the episode, I'm going to chuck out a spoiler warning. Warning: the text below contains spoliers for The Longest Night. Spoilers....starting...now!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ellie seemed really calm and a little creepy for someone who's just been kidnapped by the man who raped her aunt and killed her Dad in front of her.

And after JJ's all-night phone conversation with about 38234 different representatives of The Man, I can kind of understand why the episode was called "The Longest Night". To be honest, I thought she was going to have a nervous breakdown and exit the show right there and then; I didn't think she'd make it to "JJ".

Also, I missed something because Hotch palmed the hostage negotiation onto JJ because he couldn't get there himself. But couldn't he have, like, walked there in the time it took to get everything organised, listen to Garcia's new information and then wait for Garcia and Morgan to have make up phone sex before Garcia actually sent the stuff to JJ? Actually, knowing Garcia, she'd probably already sent the stuff to JJ by the time Morgan took her off speaker. In fact you probably saw that on screen, but I didn't because I've gone insane with tiredness.

However. JJ's "hostage negotiation" was officially awesome. It kind of makes me happy because it shows they're giving her a good send-off, but sad because in that one long segment, we saw everything about JJ that's going to leave a wound in the show. Not a mortal wound, but a wound all the same. I'm going to cry next week. Just putting that out there now.

Early night for me I think, but I've got to catch up with what the rest of the CM community is sayin'

*And breathe*

Good night morning.
